New Music: Little Boots – Shake

There is only one intention with this song and that is to get you to dance! Little Boots is officially back after a small hiatus with Shake Till Your Heart Breaks off her as of yet untitled second studio album…and the wait has definitely been worth it! This track killllls. Shake oozes early 90’s house music, reminiscent of Inner City’s Big Fun and Black Box’s Everybody Everybody, then peppered off with a little Kylie Minogue. This is how DANCE music should be; absurdly entertaining, completely unpretentious and absolutely overpowering. I’m willing to guarantee this isn’t the finalized version of Shake Till Your Heart Breaks but if this is any indication of her new material than consider me super excited! Everybody shake!

There is something profoundly touching about a random act of kindness from a stranger. We go about our days selfishly involved in our petty lives completely disconnected from the outside world that we sometimes forget to flash a smile or say a simple hello. What I found so compelling about Tyrannosaur was the relationship that was formed between two entirely different individuals who really happened to be more alike than thought. It’s refreshing to walk down a street and receive a sweet gesture from a stranger because everyone has their demons and everyone is fucked up but it is important to know that we’re all alike and that we are all just trying to make the most of life.

Tyrannosaur stars Peter Mullan & Olivia Colman and hits theaters November 18th.

New Music: The Black Keys – Lonely Boy

Ohh man, check out those seriously impressive ‘Carlton’ inspired dance moves! So electric! The Black Keys are back with new single Lonely Boy from their upcoming seventh studio album El Camino, set to be released on December 6th. As always, The Black Keys never fail to impress when delivering catchy guitar based rock and roll and the accompanying hilariously odd video is no exception either. Infectious!
